A naturally limited collection and features

What I make

Paintings, prints & objects

Everything you can buy in the shop is idiosyncratic to a certain degree: There may be several items made of the same kind, yet each one is slightly different due to its hand-made nature. Every single piece is stamped with a serial number and catalogued, forming a growing collection of artifacts waiting to be shipped around the world.

Paintings

I paint with high-quality watercolours and gouache and sometimes other media like chalk paint on either paper, cardboard or plywood. They can be finished with clear or dark wax which makes them look oil paintings. You can find paintings of different sizes and motifs in the shop or request one made to your specifications. NOTE: Good reference material is crucial for a satisfying result! One, better several, good photographs from different angles are extremely helpful.

Copper Engravings

Originally invented to illustrate books before photography was invented, copper engravings have become a little used technique – limited to a small audience of people who appreciate them. The process is intricate, elaborate and quite expensive but I don’t know of any other technique that can produce the same kind of graphic detail an engraving can. An old-world, artisan-made natural history illustration shows your impeccable taste and a beautiful wooden frame to match your interior can make it look absolutely priceless.

Screenprinting & Bookbinding

Your dearest memories deserve a truly special place. This sturdy little box keeps letters, postcards, photos or other valuable trinkets hidden away but close to hand. It’s completely handmade from hand-printed and painted paper to box construction and finishing. Different motifs are in the making and can be found in the shop once they are available. If you prefer a custom-made design just tell me about it and whether you prefer a distressed or sleek finish. I’ll let you know what’s possible!
